Our musicians take the helm in this self-led concert exploring sights and sounds of the Apennine peninsula. Works by Vivaldi and Valentini carry us across space and time to wander the opulent villas and ancient streets full of sunshine, love, decadence, and spectacle. Highlights include: four violin soloists, a dramatic cameo by a famous German ex-patriot named Handel, and Bach daydreaming of Italy while offering the “sincerest form of flattery.”
