MBE is excited to welcome back founding Artistic Director Andrew Altenbach to conduct a musical journey to Dresden—aka “Florence on the river Elbe” and “the Jewel Box.” Delight in the Italian infused style of German violin master, J.G. Pisendel (who studied with Vivaldi), and his Dresden pupil, J.G. Graun. Along the way we’ll follow Tomaso Albinoni, an Italian influencer in Germany, and admire Italianate gems by German craftsmen J.S. Bach and his son C.P.E Bach.
